AVAT Stud (Aylesbury Vale Akhal-Tekes)

We are breeders of pureblood Akhal-Teke horses and our stallion Dominik (Melezor-Dzhamna) line Gelishikli is available for stud. Both of our foundation horses have been imported from Russia. We have a great passion for the breed and the traditions that come with it. After all, many centuries ago these horses were so much sought after and prized, that people considered going into war just to acquire some of these proud equines.

These unusual and extraordinary looking horses are by many considered the most beautiful horses in the world. Many praise their intelligence, trainability, endurance and smooth, very comfortable for the rider, gaits. The sporting achievements are plentiful, and the breed is quite versatile in its uses. Especially renowned for their great endurance and stamina, some horses also find themselves successful jumping and dressage horses. Some do quite well on a race track, as the Akhal-Teke is considered the second fastest breed after the Thoroughbred. And, above all, Akhal-Tekes are horses to enjoy every day, competition or not, they become best friends to enjoy for a lifetime together.

The Akhal-Teke horses are probably the best treasure that the great Asian civilizations have left behind. A lot of things have turned to dust, but the prized elegant, aristocratic and elite horses are there for us to enjoy and treasure.
